Talking about "you've only got yourself to blame" => Have you ever noticed that the people in horror films usually bring the catastrophes on themselves? Take "The Rats" for instance. Crazy MUTATED rats that escaped from a laboratory. Scientists screwed up. Next (dunno what the English name is) something like "Killerschwarm" or something. MUTATED locusts that were supposed to be destroyed, escape from a laboratory. They are resistant to pesticides and are bigger, stronger and faster than normal locusts. Not to mention more intelligent. Then there's this other horror film. Definitely can't remember the name or whether it was about MUTATED ants, flies or spiders. Think it's spiders. Anyway, they too escape from a laboratory. Starting to detect a pattern here? Why do the scientists get blamed??? Humans bring it on themselves. In the other horror films, people do really stupid and illogical things and therefore get into trouble. "Oh look, there's an evil alien there. I'll just waste time by standing here screaming. Aaaaaaargh!" People, scream when you've got to otherwise RUN!!! Don't waste time. Don't fall down. Don't look back. Don't try the car; it will be locked. It's hilarious how seriously the producers take their work. What's a lot less fun is kids/teenagers acting out scenes and killing others in the process. That happened in Switzerland. A 17 year old guy stabbed a friend 17 times like in "Scream". Talking about losing touch with reality...
