The port.
That's where Caribana was. What's left now? Barren, trampled earth.
So calm.
Can't believe Switzerland lost!!! They were playing against Ukraine yesterday. Ok already they didn't play 90 minutes, they prolonged it twice, so they played 30 minutes more. Still 0:0. That prolongation was awful! Tripping each other up, treading on one another, even pushing them down. They would of loved to take their clubs out and start hitting each other! Then they do penalties or 11 meters or whatever they are called. Well Svizzera was massacred! The Swiss goalie saved the first two. So did the Ukrainian goalie. Then 1st Ukrainian goal. Switzerland nearly got one; it hit the top of the goal. Then Ukraine got another one and Switzerland got 0 and were disqualified!!! They did beat Korea 2:0 though!!! You should of seen the Koreans. They weren't too happy about that. Anyway there's still the Germans and the English. The Germans are great! Beast team ever! Apart from England, Brazil, and all the other ones which are still playing, of course.
That was fascinating once again. Made apple turnovers (sp?) on Sunday. They turned out ok.
How about a webbie tomorrow? That's the last chance, in fact. Have to go to the botanic garden AGAIN!!! Brought back a book they claim doesn't belong to them. So it opens at 13:30, finish school at 12:00 I'd be back about 14:00/15:00. So 08:00 PM/09:00 PM your time. What time does the flight leave? 'Cos I finish at 11:something, so we could do it on Thursday, but you'd probably be packing or not. So waddya say?
Toodle-oo!

Yesterday was a sad, sad day in the history of this house. The very old Mac has been disconnected and my father took it to work were it will be destroyed. It was from 1990/91. I kept the hard disc, a memory bar and my father got the little Apple logos out. So here's to the very old Apple, ''farewell!'' In memory of a truly wonderful machine that still worked!

Have to find better pick, but they're not digital, so I have to scan them in. Instead here's what it

VVV looked like VVV
Picture from: http://members.aol.com/CHRZAHN/index.html, which I stole, I mean borrowed without asking. The thing on top of the screen was the external hard disc. That's it from here.

Love these biscuits! They've all gone already! Posted by Picasa
Well, 6 days left!!!
What to say? Did last few oral exams on Thursday and have ''holls'' until Wednesday. Then we correct them. Oh joy, what fun! Complete waste of time, of course!
Can see a bit of a Gerry Butler obsession brewing at your end of the planet. N'est-ce pas Rhubarb? What are your thoughts Raspberry or is it the same for you?
You are only staying here 4 days before you fly to England!!!
Berndt and Renato came today and we had a barbecue. Then there was a gigantic thunderstorm. In fact they might come again next Saturday when you are here!
How's Cambodia? Suppose you haven't taken the webcam, but there might be free internet! Hope you read this. Bring the pics and don't forget to write!
How about a webbie when you get back? When do you get back? As the Americans say: Enjoy!!! How many hours difference are there? Must be about 05:49 AM now. Hope you're sleeping well!
Tata.

Zzzzzz...
Gawd... So happy we have tomorrow off!!! Couldn't sleep on Sunday to Monday, most of the night there was a raging thunder storm or from Monday to Tuesday. Soooo annoying! Anyway on Monday I had Philosophy and German. Philosophy went OK, it was about Kant and German went excellently; it was about a book (''Das Fräulein von Scuderi''; 1819). Today it was French and Biology. For French the teacher said it went very well, it was a poem from Baudelaire (''Fleurs du Mal'' written first in 1857, 2nd edition 1861, which we read and a 3rd edition published in 1860-something) and Biology: aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaargh!!! It was about photosynthesis and linkage. ''No comment''. On Thrsday: English, Maths and r/f thing. Then: Friday, Monday and Tuesday are off!!! Wednesday, Thursday and Friday: correcting exams => Boring!!! On Friday 30th there is the ''end of year celebrations'' at 11:30, that's when you two are coming to visit the school. One of the posts below explains the ''party''. Bye then I guess.

Things are rarely what they appear to be!

Well, er...What to say?
''Taming of the Shrew'' was really good!!! It started in modern clothes and there was this ''drunk'' guy wearing a Beckham tee-shirt. Then he falls asleep and the play is his dream! It was in ''old'' clothes. The beginning was funny and so was the end! His ''wife'' who was a shrew herself, carried him home. Well, it is a comedy after all. It didn't rain, fortunately.
Oh, yeah made up this new ''insult''. Here goes: ''I could choke on your stupidity!''. Wow, so insulting, anyway just use it against your enemies! What enemies?
Anyway, going to make heart waffles, seriously hope they don't burn! See you in 13 days (not that stupid number again!)!!! Yay!!!
Bye!

A fly: 18th of May 2003

How are the teeth or rather ex-teeth doing? You did have them pulled, right? Did you keep 'em? I kept it, it's in a box with all the others.
You've both finished and we've got 14 days and that's when you come!!! Next week: orals, yay...
The week after: corrections.(cute mouth!!!)
Can't wait for HP 7!!! Then we'll know the truth (Is HP gonna die or is Voldie? Is Snape just a sadist and evil er a coward or not... and much much more) and the film! Only 2007! Oh no... Woah, did that HP head just BLINK??? Uh oh, should lay off the 99.99% alcohol!
Tata, I guess... Dunno what else to say, EXCEPT: How about a webbie on Friday the 23rd? Oh wait, is that the day before you leave to Cambodia? Well, can watch you pack + got that day off! So can come any time. Waddya say?
Bye!!!
Well sadly the kids aren't coming or rather we won't be there. So no money...
And that sucks, but that's life, baby and it can be damn unfair!
Well the end of year ''party'' is at the school in Geneva. Your Mother knows you wanna go, but it has become unclear somehow, so I shall elaborate: The day you all come, so the 30th of June at 11:30, there are ''promotions'' at our school in Geneva. On that occasion I wanted to show you the school, because unless I have to repeat the year (and I'm not planning on doing that) there will be NO OTHER CHANCE and I kinda told some people you were coming so you wouldn't want to disappoint them, would you now? OK, what will there be, you ask. Well, basically waffling from the directors and some guest(s) of some cooperation. Then someone from our class will sing. She's nice, but does seem to be somewhat shallow, characterwise. Then prizes are distributed to the 10th and 11th graders, don't think we get any and possibly a prize for the project (in my case the r/f thing), which I have no way of winning, 'cos I only got satisfying. After, the people who passed their matu are announced, so that's last year's 12th grade. Of course we could by-pass the babbling and take a tour of the school. Then there usually is a stand with snacks and drinks. I'd introduce you to some people, show you some other stuff and then we'd clear off. It won't be that long, I'll be there already, my mother might take my father's car, which has the navigation system. So you get here about 09:00. So, no excuses. She will drag you along, you know, there's no point fighting.
After that wonderful babbling, we're going to see ''Taming of the Shrew'' tonight and looks like there is going to be a downpour! Oh well. Hope it's in ''old dress''! My father wormed his way out of coming, because he's ill after his trip to India. So Molly is coming.
Finally finished exams! Well, the written ones anyway. Today was English. Basically it was about this guy, who had killed someone and was in a farm prison in a forest. One day a new prisoner (Tico Feo) comes and he changes Mr. Schaeffer's life. After having answered tedious questions, we had a choice of writing the story of Mr. Schaeffer and Tico Feo's escape, writing an essay about ''school is prison'' (quote from Einstein) or the recent imprisonments in Paris. I chose the story. In short: Tico gets shot twice, then dies, Mr. Schaeffer wakes up and finds out it was only a dream. They try to escape 3 times in real, fail and are being transferred to Alkatraz (nearly wrote Azkaban) and maybe, just maybe they'll manage to escape during the transport. The End (finally).

Thursday, June 15, 2006

Well, the deal burst: The week they were supposed to come we're not there. From can't remember until the 22nd. So they might come then. MAYBE. Booked flights: we're going to England on Monday 10th of July and coming back on the 20th of July, Gramps & Granny are coming on the 20th of July and returning on the 3rd of August. Meaning: YOU WILL ALL MOVATE YOUR BUTTATIONS DOWN TO THE VILLAGE FOR THE 1ST OF AUGUST CELEBRATIONS!!! NO OBJECTIONS AND EXCUSES, SUCH AS: ''We're in the chalet''!!! OK??? OTHERWISE TO QUOTE Over-Dimentional Bear: ''I shall kick you into outer-space!!!''. SO COME!!! OK??? ALSO COME TO THE END OF YEAR ''PARTY''!!! ME M'AM IS DRIVING AND YOU'RE COMING EVEN IF SHE HAS TO DRAG YOU BY YOUR HAIR!!!
Tata!
On Friday, we're gonna see ''The taming of the Shrew'' by of course Shakespeare. It's an open-air presentation this year in Prangins near the castle, in fact right in front. It's in English and usually old dress. Last year it was in the village and 2 years ago it was a ''modern'' ''Romeo and Juliet'' but there are so few actors. See ya!!! Watched ''Silent witness''. Bid ye farewell!

Everybody: check your blogs!!!
Grandpa rung up this morning saying the people who wanted to buy the house at the top of the garden don't have the money, so the woman who owns the house wanted to know whether your parents wanted to buy it.
How cool would that be???
Oh, by the way when we went to the B-day ''party'' of our neighbour, the ones in the house right opposite us, well anyway, she had a ''foster daughter'', well really a kid of one of her friends she really liked, 'cos she had no kids, anyway this ''daughter'' has two kids which are coming over in the holls, a boy and a girl around 15. She wants them to have extra English lessons, so she asked or rather, well not exactly ''forced'' me to have them as ''students''. She pays 20 Francs an hour. The thing is you two would be here. She said they would come here for 3 hours for a week. She said we should do an hour of ''school work'' with them, then two hours of ''freestyle'' lesson when we do amusing stuff , such as playing Monopoly, playing ping pong, going to Geneva, going to the swimming pool, going to Nyon beach, sailing and so on. Basically they should SPEAK. We would get them to speak. So will you help? After all 60 Francs a day! 60 Frs x 7 days = 420 Frs a week! I would give you, let's say, 10%! No, no just kidding! It would be 140 Frs for each of us, providing you HELP and ARE THERE AT THE TIME and of course providing I'M THERE. So whaddya say??? Here's a rough plan:

  • First day: 1st hour: seeing how advanced they are, how well they can speak, where they're problems lie and so on
  • 2nd hour: dunno, any ideas? Monopoly maybe?
  • 3rd hour: fun things, what we feel like

Then it's basically the same everyday: 1st hour: they summarize what we did the day before, exercices from book, then fun fun fun and all in English.
What else could we do? We shouldn't speak in too ''difficult'' words or expressions. Are you with me: yay or nay??? Which one means ''no''?
Well tomorrow is Maths for four hours!!! 08:45 until 12:45!!! What fun!!! Logarithms, functions, trigonometry, geometry, probabilities (yuck!!!), optimisations, sinus, cosinus, and much much more. Maybe speak to you, if rhubarb can and also: read the comment on your blog and raspberry: be nice!!! Remember maybe you'll have to kiss your wisdom teeth goodbye too.
Tata!!!

Mix that and what do you get?
