- 1) The contrary of violence is not softness; it's thinking.
Er, nope. Scientists can think brutally.
- 2) The Westerners do not live, he consumes, looses himself, he looks for the assurance to endure, the realization of his fears.
Yep, Americans are shallow. Tell us something new!
- 3) Reveries are the Sunday of the mind; and who knows, of the laborious tension of the week or of the revitalizing rest of Sabbath, which is the most important for man and the most fertile.
What the heck??? Why is it the most important? What does fertility have to do with it?
- 4) Most people emerge from their reading in the same state without having lost a crumb of whom they were and without having gained a supplementary crumb. They have read, that's all.
This is the one I chose. What more can I say?
Yeppo, pathetic. Who chose these subjects? What is it with these people and thinking?
The German text was about this couple driving back from a camping trip. The woman is SOOO happy she is back home. Grammar and comprehension questions, then we had to write about what ''having a home'' means to us and whether it was the place, family or friends that make a good home. 'T'was boring.
On Wednesday the 6th we had Bio, Chem and interrelations for 3 hours in the morning and English for 3 hours in the afternoon.
Bio was OK, it was about viruses and proteins, Chem was...well difficult: it was about titration, sapponification and solubility and interrelations (it's an inter-disciplinary subject between Bio and Chem) was cut in twaid: the Bio bit was about ecology, that was OK, the Chem bit was about pollution. Aaaaaaaargh!!!
English was about a relationship between a man and a woman => communication method: shouting. The man goes to fetch the woman's glasses and sees her diary. He reads it and sees that his wife does not love him, he's self-centered, does not understand humans, etc... Grammar and comprehension questions, then you had a choice of essays:
Thursday the 7th we had Maths for 4 hours. The 2 first exercises were all right, the 2 others were a bit dickey. It went as well as Maths could go, really.
Now I've got off until Friday 22. We have orals on the 22nd and 23rd.
On Friday: Maths, Philosophy, French and Biology
Saturday: German, English and r/f thing
Then it's THE END!!!
Don't forget the webbie tomorrow at 18:00 your time!!!

- forced weddings vs love weddings. What is the difference?
- Continue writing woman's diary after husband left
- Something about relationships, can't remember
