What is the point in life? Everything ends, everyone dies. If you live for yourself there will be no progress; if you live for others, one day they'll be dead and probably only think of themselves. One day this world will disappear and all the solutions we found will, will be pointless. Unless we preserve our knowledge, all our battles and wars for freedom, equality and human rights will have been useless, because other cultures will have to fight their own battles. All the scientific discoveries will be lost!
Is there a life after death? It would be nice, but for all eternity? Being stuck with all those idiots! There is no proof. Humans ''made'' God. They asked questions and the answer was that a higher creature controlled the forces. With time and discoveries, God became relatively useless, except for the metaphysical questions (where did the universe come from => How could something come from nothing?) Where did atoms come from? How can God be immortal if he wasn't born and has no beginning? If God made everything, where does he/she/it come from?
Is there destiny? My theories=> Either :
- Yes
- No
- Half destiny
1. If yes: You walk down corridors, but the doors are locked, your path is chosen, events are pre-programmed, your decisions do not effect anything, in fact you have no decisions to make, since everything is already layed out.
2. If no: All doors are open; you make your way through life, nothing is pre-programmed => no readings of the future possible. Everything is your choice.
3. If half: You must reach certain rooms => certain life changing events are pre-programmed, but the corridors (the way you take to get there) is up to you. => Events remain the same, the path you choose does not influence this, but you may reach the event later or sooner.
Do your actions influence your destiny? Is there a ''good'' and a ''bad'' choice with different consequences? For instance: good choice: do homework -> pass year -> happiness
bad choice: don't do homework -> fail year -> disrupts family -> tension -> parents divorce -> on way to court, father gets run over -> sadness or will nothing happen? Is it pre-programmed???
So much for that. Any commentaries? Questions? Ideas/thoughts?

woa did u just have philo or sumthin? Well I think that your Destiny is what you make it. All the choices you make affect your destiny. But only some things are out of your hands like whether ur born or not or whether u get (hereditery) cancer. MAybe your life is set in stone, the end result of ur life is chosen. But it is chosen by yourself. The decisions you make no matter how many times you change it are your destiny. You don't know what your destiny is and you never will, but you will be at peace with it as long as you have made your own desicions that you think are right.
haha geez what a deep subject, thnk god im not doing philo TOK is enough to deal with
